How do you say ‘party’ in Japanese?

tokyo-nightlifeRecently, Boku made it’s official splash on the Tokyo social scene with a party at the Two Rooms Grill at Omotesando. With many folks in attendance, we had Japanese players in the tech community representing global software, gaming and online payment companies.
Friends of ours brought their own friends, paving the way for new connections and friendships being made along the way over delicious sake and Japanese whiskey. Many thanks to all of our old and new friends for attending.  We look forward to seeing you again professionally and at the next tech community shindig.
For those of you who missed that flight to NRT and couldn’t attend, drop us a line if you’re interesting in learning more about Boku.

Boku Partners with Cookie Claus Co. to Announce “Milk & Cookies by Phone”

milk-cookiesBoku announced today a partnership with Cookie Claus Co., the leader in providing delicious treats for Santa’s chimney delivery. The agreement will allow Cookie Claus Co.’s billions of annual users around the world to pay for their milk & cookies using Boku’s custom built ‘Cookie billing platform’ named “CookEE.” Under the agreement, purchases of delicious chocolate chip cookies are billed directly to a subscriber’s cell phone bill. Users simply enter in their mobile phone number and will receive a text where they must reply with ‘D’ (for delicious!) to confirm purchase of their Santa spread.

Cookie Claus Co. offers their users a turnkey cookie solution and access to their premium ‘Cronut‘ offering which all can be accessed and purchased via their mobile device.   Subscribers also have the option to opt-in and be charged on a recurring yearly basis directly on their mobile phone bill.

Jimmy the Elf, Director of Cookie Claus Co.’s ‘Santa X Program’ said, “In this global marketplace where mobile eCommerce is becoming the dominant shopping medium, the cookies can’t be expected to sell themselves online, and bill themselves directly to a subscriber’s mobile phone bill.”  Mssr. Elf continued, “To stay competitive means innovating the way cookies and milk are sold; partnering with Boku made a ridiculous amount of sense.”

Many thanks to the Cookie Claus Co.’s team and our engineers for making this “delish-integration” possible.  We know success is guaranteed.

Happy Holidays from The Boku Team 😉

Movember Results Are In!

As surely everyone knows, November = Movember and Boku had many people sporting ‘staches all month long.  We actually decided to gamify facial hair and sponsored a contest to see who wore it best.  The winners received a $100 donation to a charity of their choice.  Thanks to all our hairy participants…you make creepy look good!
