Boku is a truly global company that takes pride in its diversity and thriving equal opportunity workplace.</p></div><p>&nbsp;<br>We are seeking a talented senior level Technical Product Manager with some engineering background to drive product efforts for the Platform Tools team. &nbsp;</p> <p><strong>What You’ll Do</strong>&nbsp;</p> <p>This position will be an individual contributor, working closely with the engineering team, PM peers, and other internal stakeholders. &nbsp;</p> <p><strong>You will:</strong>&nbsp;</p> <ol> <li>Lead the Platform Tools team that builds various applications and tools to make engineering and operation teams more productive and streamline various processes.</li> <li>Discover and define the product requirements for the Platform Tools team by working with relevant stakeholders and conducting research.</li> <li>Work daily with the Platform Tools team, drive sprint grooming, work with the engineering manager to plan the sprints, participate in daily standups and other team discussions, and deliver product features bi-weekly.</li> <li>Demonstrate enough technical background to participate in solution design and technical discussions. Able to work with relevant stakeholders to validate product ideas and prototypes. Able to actively engage with the engineering team and decide requirement details based on technical input. Able to make informed trade-off calls practically.</li> <li>Document and maintain internal product-related documentation, including but not necessarily limited to feature requirements, specifications, enhancements, defects, Product Requirements Documents (PRD)s, JIRAs, etc. Organize all documentation to support the engineering team efficiently.</li> <li>Represent the engineering team as a critical liaison when working with and communicating with other teams.</li> <li>Continuously drive prioritizing the backlog based on progress, changes to strategy, urgency, and business and operational needs. Work with the engineering team to deliver the solutions based on the release plan.</li> <li>Define the roadmap, drive the quarterly Big Room Planning (BRP) by working with relevant stakeholders, and effectively communicate the roadmap and release plan.</li> <li>With guidance from the leaders, maintain, own, and update the mid and long-term strategy and plan the releases based on the company's focus and overall strategy to support teams’ needs and improve teams' efficiency.</li> </ol> <p><strong>Who You Are </strong>&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>Confident in conversations with engineering and product management and infrastructure and operational teams.</li> <li>Problem solver and strategic thinker, comfortable using frameworks, tools, and data to help structure the team's thinking and solve multi-faceted problems. </li> <li>Experience working with highly technical and business and operational teams. Enjoy working with people who have diverse backgrounds. </li> <li>Passionate about technology and creating leverage using the right tools and processes.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Minimum Requirements </strong>&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>Education: bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical major. A master’s degree is preferred.</li> <li>Five years of experience in product management, focusing on technical products.</li> <li>Ideally worked as an engineer in the past and can understand various technical components. </li> <li>Understand the software development process.</li> <li>Understand the basic Agile methodologies and project planning/execution skills, including estimation, scheduling, and planning. Working experience with issue tracking and project management. For example, Jira. </li> <li>Proficient in Agile product lifecycle and Scrum – including discovery process, research, defining requirements at different levels, prioritization, writing detailed and high-quality user stories, acceptance criteria, and regular planning/grooming with the engineering team. Support the engineering team on time during the development, testing, and release process.</li> <li>Self-driven, has a high sense of ownership and urgency. Have a proven track record of getting things done, managing multiple tasks, including communication with internal and external teams while consistently delivering on schedule. </li> <li>Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to adapt your message to various stakeholders and audiences. For example, developers, release engineers, product managers, program managers, support/operation, and business leaders. </li> </ul> <p><strong>Ideal Candidates</strong> &nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>Had full-stack engineer experience. </li> <li>Engineering leaders or managers with prior working experience as Product Managers, who are looking to transition into Product Management, are strongly encouraged to apply.</li> <li>Look for a growth opportunity to drive product delivery.</li> <li>Self-motivated and results-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
