This position is based in the San Francisco Bay Area. As part of the Payments Product team, you will be responsible for end-to-end development of our payment products and features. You will be challenged with building scalable, customizable, and frictionless checkout experiences for millions of Boku's customers around the world.</p> <p><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p> <ul> <li>Design and implement software to address specific product requirements efficiently. Identify pain points for customers in our current software and propose novel ways to improve. </li> <li>Review other engineers’ design and implementation of software and identify any faults or improvements that can be made.</li> <li>Mentor and coach other engineers to help them improve their work.</li> <li>Provide support services for production software systems to ensure good customer experience and ensure the company’s reputation is retained and improved.</li> <li>Document the software for both internal and external stakeholders.</li> <li>Train others to be able to support and enhance our software.</li> </ul> <p><strong>REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS</strong></p> <ul> <li>BS in Computer Science or related field with 5+ years of relevant engineering work experience.</li> <li>Software design and architecture skills</li> <li>Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with cross-functional teams: Product Management, Quality Assurance, Finance, Merchant Onboarding, etc.</li> <li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills to document and explain technical design, best practices, and integration guide to both technical and non-technical audiences.</li> <li>Experience building and maintaining high-volume, customer-facing product in the cloud (AWS, GCP, etc).</li> <li>Hands-on software development experience in Java.</li> <li>Must appear in office 1 time per week. Work from home permissible 4 times per week at 660 Market St, Fl 4 Suite 400, San Francisco, CA 94104.</li> </ul> <p><strong>DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS</strong></p> <ul> <li>Experience with service-oriented architecture and micro-services</li> <li>Experience integrating with third party web services across a variety of technologies, e.g. REST, SOAP, SMPP</li> <li>Experience with some (or all) of the following technologies/frameworks/tools: Maven, Git, MySQL, JMS, Spring, JPA/Hibernate, Jersey, Jetty, Kubernetes.</li> <li>Full stack development using a modern web framework, such as Angular or React, HTML and Javascript.</li> <li>Programming against databases and building and maintaining systems that use Databases</li> <li>Experience using Agile methodologies and tools</li> </ul> <p><strong>SALARY</strong><strong><br></strong><strong><br></strong> Please note: This is an exempt position.
