The customer opens their Thai banking app and scans the merchant’s PromptPay / ThaiQR code.
PromptPay is Thailand’s national real-time payment system enabling instant bank transfers using phone numbers or national IDs. It is widely adopted for both peer-to-peer and merchant payments via QR codes, and has become the default payment rail for digital transactions across the country.
