Boku, JustPark, Virgin Media O2, and Parcmi are launching direct carrier billing (DCB) for parking payments, initially available in London and Hereford. This collaboration aims to simplify the payment process for O2 customers by allowing them to charge parking fees to their mobile accounts. The launch expands the use of DCB beyond digital entertainment, showcasing its potential in everyday transactions.

Boku has completed its first cross-border transactions through India’s Unified Payments Interface (UPI). This milestone allows Boku’s global merchants to accept payments from Indian consumers using UPI, providing a simpler and more direct route into UPI cross-border payments. Boku’s strategy focuses on building direct access to local payment methods preferred by consumers.

Boku is creating a Data & AI function at the Executive level, appointing David Oliver as Chief Data & AI Officer. This move aims to leverage AI technology to support Boku’s next growth phase, enhance customer value, and optimize operations. The new function will focus on establishing AI infrastructure and harnessing data assets to strengthen Boku’s global LPM network.

Boku is now live with Pix in Brazil, enabling global merchants to access one of the world’s largest real-time payments markets. This partnership allows merchants to offer account-to-account payments to millions of Brazilians, with plans to expand to recurring payments and other features.
